Intersolar South America is Latin America's largest solar industry exhibition and conference, focusing on the fields of photovoltaics, photovoltaic production and solar thermal technologies. The research agency of the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy said it has selected 17 projects with a total scale of 23.6MW to "evaluate the technical and commercial arrangements for connecting solar projects to the grid" and plans to launch them within three years. The International Energy Agency said that following ANEEL's launch of the net metering mechanism in April this year, companies are seeking to reduce energy costs and thus open up markets together.
