The photovoltaic-storage-diesel hybrid microgrid system at the Zanzibar resort area in Tanzania, fully equipped with COREY's end-to-end product and technical solutions, has effectively resolved local power supply challenges.
The local grid infrastructure suffers frequent outages and only supports single-phase 220V systems, failing to meet the stable power demands of the resort's premium facilities (such as three-phase air conditioning systems and kitchen equipment). COREY deeply engaged during the project planning phase, leveraging its professional team and customization capabilities to deliver comprehensive product supply and technical support for both the park's power distribution system and indoor appliance configurations. The solution successfully achieved seamless voltage switching between the grid's 220V and the microgrid's 380V system for resistive loads (switching time <10ms), completely eliminating power interruption risks for critical loads. 微信图片_20260214114820_11_4
COREY innovatively implemented a photovoltaic-storage DC-coupled architecture, significantly enhancing self-consumption rates of solar energy to 85% and substantially reducing diesel dependency. The energy storage system operates in Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) mode, combined with COREY's proprietary coordinated control strategy, precisely suppressing diesel-storage parallel power oscillations and ensuring long-term system stability. To address Zanzibar Island's unique environmental conditions - high salinity, humidity, and frequent typhoons - COREY specifically deployed anti-corrosion coating technology, dynamically optimizing photovoltaic output and energy storage strategies to maintain uninterrupted 7×24-hour power supply even under extreme weather conditions. 微信图片_20260214114747_9_4
As a benchmark practice for island resort microgrids, COREY provides full lifecycle technical operations throughout the project. Continuously optimizing system efficiency through AI algorithms, the solution establishes a new energy paradigm combining economic viability, reliability, and environmental sustainability for the resort. This project sets a replicable technical template for energy upgrades in island resorts and off-grid regions.
