The two parties conducted an in-depth analysis of the Malaysian PV energy storage market’s potential: with abundant solar resources and steadily increasing electricity demand, supportive government policies—such as Net Energy Metering 3.0 and smart automation subsidies—offer a favorable environment for energy storage projects. Based on local energy characteristics, the following initial directions for cooperation were identified:
Integration of Centralized and Distributed Systems: Promote the development of large-scale PV energy storage power stations, while deploying distributed storage systems in industrial parks, commercial buildings, and residential areas.
Microgrid Solutions: Deliver customized microgrid systems to remote islands and grid-edge areas to address electricity access challenges in off-grid communities.
